ESUT Admission Requirements for UTME Candidates

  • You must have at least five credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) including English Language and Mathematics not more than two sittings before you can study at ESUT.
  • You must choose ESUT as your first choice of institution and register for the UTME with the correct subject combination for your course.
  • You must score at least 160 in the UTME to qualify for the ESUT Post UTME and admission screening exercise.
  • You must participate in the ESUT Post UTME and admission screening exercise and score at least 50% to be considered for admission.

  • You must have at least five credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) including English Language and Mathematics not more than two sittings before you can study at ESUT.

  • You must have a minimum of Upper Credit in the National Diploma (ND), National Certificate of Education (NCE) or other Advanced Level Certificates in relevant fields from recognized institutions.

ESUT Admission Requirements for Medicine and Surgery

  • You must have at least five credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology not more than two sittings.
  • You must also score at least 200 in the UTME and at least 60% in the Post UTME and admission screening exercise.

  • You must have at least five credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) including English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects not more than two sittings.
  • You must also score at least 180 in the UTME and at least 50% in the Post UTME and admission screening exercise.

ESUT Admission Requirements for Engineering

  • You must have at least five credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject not more than two sittings.
  • You must also score at least 150 in the UTME and 50% in the Post UTME and admission screening exercise. You must also have a minimum of Upper Credit in the National Diploma (ND) or a minimum of Merit in the National Certificate of Education (NCE) in relevant fields from recognized institutions.

How do I Apply for Admission into ESUT?

To apply for admission into ESUT, you must follow these steps:

  • Visit the JAMB website create a profile and generate a personal identification number (PIN).
  • Visit any accredited bank or JAMB office and pay the sum of N3,500 for the UTME form or N5,000 for the Direct Entry form.
  • Revisit the JAMB website and fill out the online application form with your personal and academic details.
  • Choose ESUT as your first choice of institution and select the course you want to study.
  • Print out the completed application form and the payment receipt.
  • Visit the ESUT website and register for the Post UTME and admission screening exercise with your JAMB registration number and PIN.
  • Pay the sum of N2,000 for the Post UTME and admission screening exercise fee online or at any designated bank.
  • Print out the acknowledgement slip and the screening schedule slip.
  • Attend the Post UTME and admission screening exercise at the date, time and venue indicated on your slip.
  • Check the ESUT website or the JAMB website for your admission status and print out your admission letter if successful.
  • Accept the admission offer and pay the acceptance fee of N26,100 online or at any designated bank.
  • Print out the acceptance fee receipt and the clearance form.

Proceed to the ESUT admission office for physical verification and clearance with the following documents:

  • Original and photocopies of your O’level results
  • Original and photocopies of your UTME or Direct Entry result slip
  • Original and photocopies of your admission letter
  • Original and photocopies of your acceptance fee receipt
  • Original and photocopies of your birth certificate or declaration of age
  • Original and photocopies of your local government identification letter
  • Original and photocopies of your certificate of origin
  • Eight recent passport photographs
  • After clearance, proceed to the bursary department and pay the tuition fee online or at any designated bank.
  • Print out the tuition fee receipt and the course registration form.
  • Proceed to your faculty and department for course registration and orientation.

Has ESUT started giving Admission in 2024?

Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) has released its admission list for the  2024/2025 academic session. Candidates who applied for ESUT’s undergraduate programmes can check their admission status through ESUT’s online portal or JAMB’s portal. Candidates who have been successfully admitted into ESUT’s first-degree programmes should log into the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) to either ACCEPT or REJECT the admission offer.
